I’m starting a series of things I want for Kimberly. :D |

My first ever tutorial!
I’m assuming that you guys already have basic knowledge about how to create GIFs using Photoshop; if you don’t… just check out tutorials for it elsewhere. :) It is easy to add text to GIFs, it’s like eating cake. So there, just make sure that your layers are ordered, you adjustment layers are all on top and we can proceed.
The text tool is primarily what you can use to type whatever you wish on the photo… that’s standard Photoshop knowledge though so I doubt you don’t know. XD
After clicking on whichever part of the photo, a cursor should appear indicating where what you type will be placed. You can change its alignment (e.g. center, left, right) at the top of the screen, you’ll see it there; similar to that of Microsoft Word, or Lotus Symphony alignment tools. :)
Go ahead and type, you should see what you’re typing appear on the screen. If it doesn’t appear, your font size is probably too small (you can change that by changing the font size at the top bar of the Photoshop workspace) or some layers are above it covering it (you can fix this by making the text layer the topmost layer).
Just experiment, basically. Use the blending tools to add glows, shadows, etc; use the character panel to change the size, the boldness, etc. You can also use the bar at the top to change the font color, or the font itself. It’s quite fun and easy.
This is what I came up with. Product: http://fuckyeahkimmychiu.tumblr.com/post/21653552099/they-say-its-a-broken-heart-but-i-hurt Hope I was of help!
